BRMT Level 2: The Limbic System, Emotions, and Inner Leadership

This course will be taught in-person in Homer, NY. Time listed is EST.

Level Two is a mid-level RMT course that focuses on how active reflexes affect our mental health and cognition. We will discuss the role of the limbic system and the effects of RMT on emotional regulation, anxiety and stress, as well as how RMT can be used to help children with autism. Reflex development is closely linked with our experiences and reflected in our body and emotions. This course explains how the simple BRMT movements can transform emotional well-being.

Topics included in this course include:

  • The Limbic System (a.k.a. The Mammalian Brain)

  • Prefrontal cortex

  • Hypertonic and hypotonic muscle tone corrections

  • Recognize behaviors caused by the stress reflexes

  • Differentiate between the Moro, Fear Paralysis, and Tendon Guard reflexes

  • Testing for and integrating the following reflexes:

    •               Fear Paralysis

    •               Moro

    •               Tendon Guard

    •               Spinal Perez

  • 3 Balance Procedures

  • Identifying when emotional reactions may be due to gluten or casein intolerance.

  • Practice using key movements and reflexes to release tension in specific parts of the body

BRMT Level Two was accepted by NBCOT, ceii (Continuing Education Institute of IL in cooperation with the University of IL College of Medicine and College of Education) recognized by the NY State Education Department State Board for Physical Therapy as an approved provider of CEUS for PTs and PTAs, the Minnesota Board of Physical Therapy and the Alaska Board of Physical Therapy for continuing education credits.
